Fundraiser to Benefit The Clean River Project

The Clean River Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to cleaning up the Merrimack River, is holding a fundraiser to benefit the cleanup of the environment on Saturday, July 10 from 8AM to 3PM. The fundraiser will be held at the UMass Lowell Boat House.

Five boats of volunteers will be going out throughout the day, pulling garbage out of the water and cleaning up the river and banks.

On shore, there will be activities for everyone. The kids will enjoy balloons, face painting, and a visit from the Clean River Ghostbusters. They will also have a chance to enter in a fundraising raffle for a birthday visit from the Ghostbusters. The Sheriff’s Department will be there as well during the fundraiser to teach the children about safety.

There will be food and fundraisers for the families and those who attend can enter into a raffle for a free boat tour. The money raised by each fundraiser will go to further cleanup of the Merrimack River environment.
