Dr. Thomas Hoerner, an orthopedic surgeon who practices at Essex Orthopedics and Optima Sports Medicine in Salem and is chief of surgery at Caritas Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, will travel to Tanzania next week to help train doctors and treat patients at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre.
