Donate Spare Clothing and More to Ruth’s House

The back-to-school season is upon us. That means new backpacks, lunch boxes, binders, school supplies, but most importantly, clothes. Not all families have the resources to replace their child’s wardrobe each August, and these years of development are often the ones where they outgrow clothes the fastest. Ruth’s House, a nonprofit thrift store in Haverhill, looks to offer affordable clothing for families in need.

Located at 111 Lafayette Square, Ruth’s House provides clothing, bedding, drapery, cutlery and flatware, outerwear, and everything you would need this season at affordable prices. As we get closer and closer to early morning alarms and brisk autumn walks to the bus stop, Ruth’s House is strongly urging its customers and all those with spare clothing to donate so that other families can make your items new again.

All donations made to Ruth’s House are tax deductible and patrons will be given a receipt of their donation. Clothing, dishes, curtains and more can be dropped off between the following hours:

  • Thursday: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Friday: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Your patronage is greatly appreciated and helps local nonprofits such as Ruth’s House provide clothing for growing children, as well as furnish the homes of its customers. For more information, please call 978-521-5575 or via email at ruthshouse@verizon.net.
