New England Radio Control Fly-In Sets Down in Derry on August 27 & 28

Break out your model airplanes and helicopters because this weekend, the NH Flying Tigers Airfield will be the setting for the 2011 New England Radio Control Fly-In. Located off of B Street in Derry, the Flying Tigers Airfield will open its 640-foot landing strip to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday for pilots of all ages.

RC flyers looking to show off their skills this weekend, or even amateur hobbyists hoping to jump into the sport, will be able to flex their flying muscles this weekend. For those new to the club, there will be a one-time $5 registration fee. Fans hoping to watch these pilots skillfully maneuver their RC aircrafts will be able root and cheer free of charge!

Grab a blanket or lawn chair, a hat, some sunscreen and enjoy the talents of these skilled flyers. Aircrafts will be on display throughout the weekend and instructors will even be available to offer flying lessons with a club donation. Along with door prizes, a complete RC airplane package will also be raffled off for patrons.

The event is sponsored and made possible by the NH Flying Tigers, the Southern NH Flying Eagles and the Southern NH Radio Control Club. Andy Argenio, District 1 VP of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA), will be the guest of honor for the event.
