Don’t pack away the clubs just yet! From October 12 – 15, your drives down the green can go to a fantastic cause at Murphy’s Garrison Golf Center. Located at 654 Hilldale Avenue in Haverhill, the popular golf course will be sponsoring, along with the Haverhill Gazette, the 42nd Annual Santa Fund Hole-in-One Contest. Will your swing make the grade to win a fabulous prize pack? Come out and support this wonderful event.
Murphy’s Garrison Golf Center is hosting the hole-in-one contest over four days. From October 12 – 14, golfers will have the opportunity to play from 4 – 8 p.m. On Sunday, October 15, the course will hold its final round from 12 – 4 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to attend and take a swing for the Santa Fund. There will be plenty of prizes for runners-up and a Grand Prize, donated by local businesses, if someone can sink a hole-in-one.
For over four decades, Murphy’s Garrison Golf Center has been hosting its annual Santa Fund Hole-in-One Contest. Golfers contribute to the Santa Fund by purchasing a bucket of golf balls, and 100% of the proceeds are donated. To date, owners Ted and Mary Murphy have collected over $191,000 for the Gazette Santa Fund, which is distributed through the Community Action Council and the Salvation Army to assist Haverhill families in need.
