November 18, 2011
7:00 pmto10:00 pm

Although Breast Cancer Awareness Month is over, there are still ways people can support the cause. Join four talented comedians for a cause on November 18 at The Claddagh Pub & Restaurant, located at 399 Canal Street in Lawrence. Proceeds from this event will benefit Team Charlie’s Angels, supporting the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.

Charlie’s Angels is a registered team of 18 individuals, some of whom are breast cancer survivors. The team is set to take part in the tenth annual Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in 2012. Each team member must raise $1,800 and collectively the team has set a goal to reach $80,000 in donations for the charity. Last year, Charlie’s Angels raised $79,850 and was ranked first in Boston for a second year in a row.

This event features four hit comedians Paul D’Angelo, Alington Mitra, Dave Rattigan and Chris Zito, some of whom have been featured on networks such as Comedy Central, USA Network, A&E and Showtime. The showcase is presented by Scamps Comedy Productions, which hosts local comedic fundraisers.

According to the Avon team page, they have reached approximately 5% of their goal. Your support will help a tremendous cause. Donations can be made to individual team members online or by personal check. Team Charlie’s Angels currently has 12 confirmed fundraising events on their Avon Walk for Breast Cancer web page, one of which is the comedy night in Lawrence.

Doors open for the event at 7 p.m. for the 8 p.m. show. Tickets are sold for $20 in advance and are available for $25 at the door. You can learn more about the men and women who make up Team Charlie’s Angels on their Avon Walk page.
