Holiday Tree Lighting & Christmas Feast for the Horses

November 21, 2011
4:30 pmto7:30 pm

The Holiday Tree Lighting and Christmas Feast for the Horses at Nevins Farm in Methuen will take place on December 3 at 4:30 p.m. The MSPCA invites everyone to bring fresh apples, carrots, oats and peppermints to create a holiday feast for their horses. After the feast, the farm will be lighting their holiday tree supplying light refreshments and a photo opportunity with Santa!

Individuals donating money to Nevins Farm may create an ornament featuring their pet’s name or picture to display on the holiday tree. If you would like your pet’s photo on an ornament, you must submit your picture and donation by December 1 to the farm located at 400 Broadway St. in Methuen. Nevins Farm cares for over 7,000 abandoned or neglected animals each year, and your donations help to feed and care for animals waiting for adoption. Individuals wishing to make a donation to the farm, but are not interested in making an ornament can visit the MSPCA at Nevins Farm support page.

The Open House will take place in the Noble Family Adoption Center where children can meet and talk with Santa. Photos are allowed and there is no fee, however you must bring your own cameras. This is a wonderful opportunity to get a holiday family picture (including leashed dogs), however due to expected crowds, the staff at Nevins Farm is not able to accommodate for cats and other animals.
