Smolak Farms in North Andover will be hosting its annual Gingerbread Workshop this Saturday, December 17 from 10 a.m. through 12 p.m. During the event, guest appearances will be made by both Mr. and Mrs. Claus for a photo opportunities. Registration is required and is on a first-come, first-serve basis. One gingerbread house and decorating materials will be supplied to each group of two people.
Smolak Farm is open year-round allowing visitors to shop at their farmstand and bakery, as well as to pick fruit during the summer through late fall. The farm even offers Christmas trees for sale up until Christmas day. There are a variety of educational and entertainment opportunities for children including hayrides, birthday parties and animals just waiting for a visit from you and your family. There is a small playground available for children and a gift shop featuring books, toys and seasonal gift items. This event is sure to be a wonderful family outing whether you are looking for quality family time, or just a fun day out while finishing up last-minute Christmas shopping. The event is $40 per couple and includes the cost of gingerbread materials. Hot chocolate will be available during the event, and visitors will leave with an edible piece of art for the holiday season.
