On Saturday May 19th, Team Haverhill will be hosting the Wizard of Oz Live & Silent Auction Gala fundraiser at 6:30 PM at the Roma Restaurant Function Hall in Haverhill. There will be both a silent and live auction, as well as a full dinner. The evening’s events will feature Spotlight Playhouse characters and music from “The Wizard of Oz” and “Wicked.” Items up for auction include a family weekend on the Polar Express, a Capitol Tour in Washington D.C. and lunch with Congresswoman Niki Tsongas, a three night getaway for two to New York City to see “Wicked,” and much more. All proceeds will go towards the Essex Street Gateway Mural project.
Team Haverhill is a non-profit volunteer organization founded in 2005 with the sole purpose of making the Haverhill community a better and more beautiful place to live. Their focus lies in the public arts, and has created 25 murals to date. The Essex Street Gateway Mural project was started by Team Haverhill in 2010, with the goal of making it their biggest project yet. The mural will be a collaborative effort by all those who wish to participate during the month.
Tickets are $30 per person or $250 for a table of 10 and may be purchased online at the Team Haverhill website or mailed.
