The first Shirley Charitable Foundation Summer Concert at the Shirley Town Common will take place Friday, June 22 at 6:00 PM. This free concert will feature the Nashoba Valley Concert Band, which will be playing a variety of big band, marching and popular music. This is a family-friendly event intended to bring the community together to enjoy good music and great company.
The Shirley Charitable Foundation was founded in 1998 to enrich the quality of life in the Shirley community. The foundation focuses on bringing people together through programs for education, public safety, youth activities, senior citizen report and arts and cultural performances. The foundation established the Shirley Outdoor Summer Concert Series in 2003 to provide musical entertainment for the community. The music played during these concerts includes big band, jazz, popular music, classic country, children’s favorites and patriotic melodies. Families, friends and neighbors are encouraged to join the Shirley Charitable Foundation as its members “Celebrate Shirley” and enjoy summer in New England.
The Shirley Charitable Foundation Summer Concert Series is free to the public. For more information about the Summer Concert Series, visit the Celebrate Shirley website or contact Kevin Johnston at firstname.lastname@example.org.
