Bark Free & Ride on June 30th

Bark Free & Ride to benefit Hudson Dog Park in Hudson, NHOn Saturday, June 30, the Hudson Dog Park committee and volunteers will be hosting a motorcycle poker run through Hudson called “Bark Free & Ride” to benefit the new off-leash Hudson Dog Park. The ride will begin at 222 Central Street and end at AJ’s Sports Bar and Grill at 15 Tracy Lane with several stops along the way.

Registration will begin at 9:45 AM and kickstands will go up at 11 AM. There will be raffles and prizes for participants, and the person with the best hand in poker will receive an extra $200 prize. All proceeds from the motorcycle run will benefit the Hudson Dog Park.

The Hudson Dog Park is a section of Benson Park that has been fenced off but is still in the process of becoming a full off-leash dog park for both dogs and owners. The non-profit organization funding the project still has to pay the rest of the cost for fencing, removing tree stumps, filling ditches below the fence and more before it can be fully opened to the public. The proposed Hudson Dog Park will have a main dog park area with plenty of trees, a covered seating area and canine exercise equipment, as well as a separate fenced-off area for small dogs. The organization relies solely on the efforts of donors, volunteers and fundraisers to achieve the monetary goal necessary to open.

Bark Free & Ride is $15 per bike and an additional $5 per passenger, including food at AJ’s Sports Bar and Grill. You may buy tickets at AJ’s Sports Bar and Grill  anytime until the event or you may purchase them online at the Hudson Dog Park website.
